Preparing for the Future Through Collaboration and Reflection

7/18/2025

Reflecting on my experience in EDLD 5320, I feel proud of the effort and growth I demonstrated throughout the course. I believe a score of 92 fairly represents the consistent contributions I made to my own learning and to my learning community, while also acknowledging that there is always room for growth and improvement.

Throughout this course, I consistently completed the required materials and submitted my assignments on schedule. Each major assignment, including the Innovation Project Update, COVA Reflection, and ADL Journey Synthesis, was carefully revised in response to peer feedback.

I contributed to the learning community by sharing thoughtful responses, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging my peers along the way. I worked to make my posts meaningful by connecting the course content to real-world classroom practices, which helped bring the ideas to life for both myself and others. I wanted to make sure my contributions added value to the conversations, whether by asking questions or sharing examples.

I worked closely with my collaboration group, which consisted of Jana, Julia, Ben, and Shaqueta. We used tools like GroupMe, Canva, Padlet, and Google Classroom to share feedback, develop ideas, and strengthen our projects together. These tools allowed us to collaborate creatively and stay organized throughout the term. Remaining open to feedback from my group and being intentional with revisions helped me strengthen my own work significantly, and seeing how others approached the same tasks gave me new perspectives I might not have considered on my own.

One thing I would like to improve is participating earlier in the discussion forums so my peers have more time to respond. I would also like to take a more active leadership role in future collaborations by initiating group discussions and helping tie together ideas from different team members.

My journey through the ADL program has been documented in my blog reflections, where I can clearly see the growth that has come from both the challenges and successes of this course. The experiences and connections I made during EDLD 5320 have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am grateful for the guidance of my instructor, the support of my collaboration group, and the contributions of my classmates. As I look ahead, I am excited to apply what I have learned to future opportunities, to continue growing as a digital learner and leader, and to carry these lessons with me as I begin my doctoral studies at SHSU this fall. -LM
